STATISTICS, REPORTS & ANALYSIS
After our highly successful 4 week pilot scheme assessing 20 students over a fixed period of time and being able to deliver reports based on factual and functional results from the Alternative Provision Centre.
During our pilot scheme we looked at the 5 markers numbered below to gauge the success of our Alternative Provision.
We used basic Secondary School Markers to work against with the identified students who struggle on a daily basis with rules, focus, behaviour, engagement, attendance and basic understanding.
When tested on arrival at our centre the student’s demonstrated difficulties with the following levels:
5 MAIN MARKERS
From the completion of our scheme we are able to create reports for each student which was data and statistic based. We can track the students as they move through the programme to their completion with assessments to see how they have improved.
Below are the outcomes from a selection of students:
ATTENDANCE:
We can confirm that apart from 2 approved sickness days and pre-booked holidays all students attended every session over a 4 week period
Attendance was an outstanding 98%
BEHAVIOUR:
Each student accepted our approach to learning and coaching. Due to the adapted teaching techniques behaviour issues were not the norm. On the rare occasion a minor issue arose, it was dealt with quickly and effectively leading to sanctions which were accepted and understood by the student.
Our behaviour rating was 94% successful
FOCUS & ENGAGEMENT:
The Academy worked with each student to help them successfully complete tasks and to gain a better understanding of how to refocus allowing them to successfully engage in tasks. Students were given a skill set that allowed them to deal with different situations in a positive way impacting on outcomes of the situation. Students could articulate why they chose a particular method to deal with a situation and compare this to previous experiences, where choices may not have led to such a positive outcome.
The focus & engagement rating was at 92%
SKILL IMPROVEMENT:
A drastic increase in skill levels both within the classroom setting and the practical environment was highly evident across both elements.
Each student was tested across the following subjects:
Maths, English, History, Geography, Science
PRACTICAL BASED ASSESSMENTS
Each student is assessed on the following markers:
1. Effort & Energy
2. Ability
3. Confidence
4. Decision Making
5. Team Work
During each session we mentor and guide each student to achieve their best self and push themselves to achieve new goals

SEN INTERACTION
Each SEN student was assessed in multiple areas that allowed us to successfully work on the following areas:
1. Triggers
2. Reactions
3. Restructuring & Realigning
Triggers:
Each student who identified with an SEN need was observed and worked with to discover their points of trigger and how we could effectively work to create a trigger free environment so that they could flourish.
Reactions:
As each SEN student was monitored, we looked to see how the reactions to each trigger developed and how we could secure better reactions to trigger points. This included many areas such as lighting, white noise, functionality, learning issues.
Restructuring & Realigning:
With the work of the Therapist, Mentor and Sports Psychologist each student was delivered an action plan report to explain all elements, findings alongside how to assist each SEN student reach their full potential. Assisting the schools with reports alongside helping the students to develop conscious choices around the reactions and helping them work with their new skill toolbox (virtual in their mind)
